On this January I have two books that have been written on my plan for the next three months. First is Alibaba that I had wrote it yesterday. Second is Financial Report Analysis by Bambang Hermanto and Mulyo Agung.
Once again I want to remind you all this post is not summary but this what I had learn from this book. But I think I have to give some review for this book. First, this book is simple and detail enough to make you understand how to analyze financial report but there is some minor mistake or maybe I will say it there is too many "typo" in this book that made me sometimes laugh when I read it. But overall this is also a good book to study.
Secondly, What I have learn from this book? I learn the fact that why Indonesia have to use IFRS which implemented in our "Standar Akuntansi Keuangan" or SAK and there is 4 pillar of Indonesia's Financial Accounting:
1. Standar Akuntansi Keuangan or SAK
2. SAK - ETAP
3. Standar Akuntansi Pemerintah or SAP
4. other standard like:
- SAK Syariah
- SAK 45: Entitas nirlaba
It's something that I have to learn too. Maybe I will put it on my list. In this book I learn some general knowledge for accounting like term account can be called current liabilities and operating activity. And also there are 4 kind to analyze financial report:
1. Comparative Analysis
2. Trend Analysis
3. Ratio Analysis
4. Standard Analysis and Uses of Funds.
That's remind me in this book also mentioned about performance driven for sector which I learn from Financial Management Canvas. But this books give more detail and more ratio to learn about that. Furthermore, this book teach me to use Earning Before Interest and Tax, EBITDA, or Operating Income to measure the earning form the company operation.
Okay, I think that is all I write on this post. I can't wait books for the next month and tell you again next month.
